New Excellent Technology (NET) is a program through which the government officially certifies the excellence of new technologies developed by domestic companies, research institutions, universities, and other organizations—identifying promising innovations early.
Operated by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA), NET promotes commercialization and technology transfer while strengthening the credibility of products that apply certified technologies, helping build a foundation for early market entry. Certified technologies receive strong legal benefits, including sole-source contract privileges under the National Contract Act and Local Contract Act, as well as priority purchase designation.
